Year 8/9 Girls Football Team - Banes Champions!

A massive congratulations to the Year 8/9 Girls Football Team, they are Banes Champions!
The girls came top of their group beating Chew Valley, Hayesfield, Writhlington and St Marks. They then had to play the winner of the other group of 5 teams which ended up being Oldfield.
The final ended up being 0-0 even though we had plenty of shots on goal. It went to nerve wracking penalties where our girls scored 4/5 and Hania Brett commanded the goal area and saved 3 of Oldfields penalties leading us to winning the shootout.
Well done to the 15 girls who played their part in the tournament.
